Blue Oaks Farm & Latrobe Vineyards

is a small family farm in the Sierra Nevada Foothills just outside Sacramento. We raise pastured heritage livestock including hogs, sheep, cattle, and poultry on our classic Oak Savannah grasslands. In addition to our heritage livestock, we grow Zinfandel and Sauvignon Blanc wine grapes. Incorporating our sheep, hogs, and poultry into our vineyard operation is a top priority over the coming years for us.

We are developing our farming practices to be as regenerative and resource independent as possible. We use Holistic Management, Restoration Agriculture, and planned rotational grazing schemes aimed at building top soil and improving our soil web biology to provide superior forage for our animals and growing conditions for our trees, vines and plants. We are committed to practicing Low Stress Livestock Handling and Stockmanship techniques that allow us to work with and move our animals in a calm and peaceful manner, reducing stress and improving health and welfare.

Seasonally we also produce organic vegetables, honey, eggs, jams, jellies, baked goods, and soaps. Contact us for more info or interest.
